Hi, I’m Josh, and welcome to Wander Simply! I started traveling at age 21 when I decided to take a break from college and go on an adventure. I booked the cheapest plane ticket I could find to Europe (which was to Helsinki, Finland), bought a train pass, and reserved my first night in a hostel. Three months and countless once-in-a-lifetime experiences later, I returned home to Seattle, having visited 22 different European countries and made many new friends along the way. I had caught the travel bug, and my life was changed forever.

Over the years since then, I have taken many more trips all over the world. Along the way, I have experimented with the best ways to travel simply and frugally, and created this site to share my knowledge with the rest of the world. I hope to shatter the perception that travel is only something for the wealthy by making it accessible to everyone through the information posted here.
